About AEI Guide and Outfitter
Our mission at AEI Outfitter (Adventure Experiences, LLC) is to provide clients with an epic outdoor experience that is worthy of remembering! Though one of our main goals is to set our hunters up for successfully harvesting an animal, our ultimate goal is for the overall experience to be one that you will remember fondly for the rest of your life! We work hard to create a full hunting experience that leaves you feeling like part of our family and leaving with a desire to return someday.
Founded with a passion for outdoor adventure in the mid 1980’s by Tim and Linda Kempfe, AEI Outfitter has continued to pursue their goal of creating life-giving adventure experiences throughout the Gunnison and Crested Butte Valley. When first laying eyes on the current property in Taylor Park, Colorado, Tim and Linda knew this was the perfect base camp for adventure. With our base camp facilities located right in the middle of some of the best hunting and fishing opportunities and surrounded by the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness and the Continental Divide, we truly are blessed to adventure in one of the most beautiful landscapes found anywhere.
We believe that God has given us some of the most magnificent mountain scenery to adventure in, and this perfect creation of landscape and wildlife serves as a constant reminder of how blessed we really are to pursue wild game in wild places!
"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."~ Romans 1:20
Our encouragement for everyone who chooses to hunt with us is to enjoy and embrace the whole adventure! Enjoy the scenery, and the beautiful and amazing country that God created for our hunting pleasure. When the journey and adventure can be a virtue in itself, your expectations are more often met. And if you are fortunate to kill an animal, that just becomes icing on the cake!

Set under the spectacular backdrop of the Collegiate Peaks mountain range and Continental Divide, we offer fully guided, semi-guided, & private land/stand big game hunting during Colorado’s archery, muzzleloader and rifle seasons.
Later in October, when the animals migrate to wintering grounds, we set up our hunting base out of Gunnison, Colorado.
